Composting Used Rope Toys
Cotton and Hemp decompose at different rates depending on the climate and conditions. It is possible for the ropes to decompose in a warm, damp composting environment in around a year. Once composted, ropes will completely break down leaving behind no trace but will leave a fertiliser that can be used in your garden as these are created using only natural, plant based fibres.
Disposing of Rope Toys
If you do not plan on composting the ropes once they are no use for your pooch - that's absolutely fine! Rest assured that the toys will completely break down in landfill within 5 years, depending on the environment.

Storage
Our ropes are made from natural materials that will break down over time, leaving ropes outside in direct sunlight or rain is likely to break the ropes down faster. To avoid premature degradation of ropes, keep indoors out of direct sunlight and in a dry climate.
